New Beginnings
New Beginnings – Inspirational Piano Music
To begin again. What a great opportunity we all have as human beings! To begin again… and again, and again. And even have a specially appointed time of year to do so. The New Year. This, to me, is the real Inspirational concept behind the whole idea of New Years Eve.
This past moment in time as the ball dropped and the Missus and I stood out on our terrace overlooking Times Square in the cold night air, it struck me, as the roar went up from the million or so below, that this was really a dumb thing to do and really meant nothing at all except, for most people, getting drunk and kissing your date at midnight. A pretty hollow holiday.
But since, as I have been preparing Watchfire Music’s new CD, New Beginnings, for January release, I’ve begun to get inside the idea of having a starting point each year at this appointed time to leave the bad stuff behind and move forward with new life and hope.
As I went through 60-70 songs trying to find the right title concepts, music feels and songs of anticipation and hope, I basically bought into my own idea and let the music inspire me to think about my own life and the areas that needed new beginnings. I certainly did find a few and along the way found a reconnection with this otherwise pointless holiday.
I found myself actually coming up with a New Year’s resolution and sticking with it these past days and along the way, already improving the quality of my life and my own personal happiness.
It was the music that put me into the mood of consideration. I sat and listened to this beautiful piano music, New Beginnings from some of the best of our artists, and the experience slowed down my life and definitely put me into a contemplative mood where I could at last consider the course of my life, my persona and my relationships.
It was the music that slowed me down and directed me to a higher ground of thought. Music with no words, just piano melodies, creative ideas, a little orchestration here and there and lots of great music to ride on. It was just what the doctor ordered, so to speak.
I recommend the practice very highly. It should be looked at by all of us as not an indulgence, but an absolute necessity. Refresh your lives! Start again. It’s a new year, a new decade. Time to reconsider the universe!
We all have our ways of doing that, but here I’m now going to do a blatant sales pitch. Why? Because it worked for me.
New Beginnings, our January offering from The Watchfire Music Collection, is an inspiring compilation of piano music designed to put you in the frame of mind to reconsider your life, times, and relationships with friends, family and God. We put the CD together with just this in mind and then found that simply by doing just that and listening to the music, it did just that. It worked!
This does not make me a genius. The genius lies in the inspired creativity of the artists themselves, the pianists, the composers and the arrangers and producers all who put their life blood into the making of this CD.
Give it a listen. Buy it. Send it to a friend. Share the power of reconsideration. Let this music come into your life and inspire your thought to a higher standpoint. It’s absolutely guaranteed to change your life for the better. All you have to do is truly listen.
That’s a promise.
