Restore Your Youth!

Restore Your Youth!

youthswingCome now!
Restore your youth!
Buy a bottle of my elixir
Pick up that air guitar
And get down
Make faces in the mirror
Pull them sheets over your head
And play tent
Wonder what it would be like
To be popular

Tonight I ran through a fountain
It just seemed like the thing to do
Got all wet
Didn’t hurt a bit
Along the way there was another little boy
Doin’ the same
We was just doin’ it
To do it
He knew
I knew
We was just havin’ fun

I still got that boy inside of me
Wonderin’ why I don’t let him out more often
I’m wonderin’ too!

Truth is
Sometimes I can’t find him
He’s off playin’ by hisself
I forget about him
And get lost in the ages
Bad idea
Come Out Come Out
Wherever you are!

I like to sing
Sometimes I just make ‘em up
Why I could just make ‘em up all day and all night
They’re all in there waitin’ to come out
In that little boy’s lunch box
The one with Howdy Doody and Buffalo Bob
Painted on the front
Just open it up and out they pop!

Trouble is
Lately I lost the lunch box
Too busy to look for it
Must be under my bed
With my dead flashlight
And my sleeping bag
And that moldy old PB&J

I can stand on my head
But the blood rushes down
And makes my face feel funny

I can stand on one foot
But I don’t need to
I got two!

I can’t touch my elbow
To my nose
My nose is too short
Thank God!

My Dad could touch the tip of his tongue
To his nose
Yuck!

But he’s dead now
I miss him

I used to sit on his lap
And wonder what it would be like
To touch his moustache

I wish he would play catch with me
But he don’t
He throws like a girl
He’s from Canada

He bought us a dog
Rusty
I rub his tummy
And he tries to run with one leg
Upside down
Stupid dog
His feet ain’t even on the ground

I brush him
And pull all the tangles out
He likes that
He’s got a lot of fur
Sometimes he smells funny

My name is Petey
I’m four
I run around naked
But don’t worry
I’m invisible

Also I can fly
Don’t believe me?
You can too you know
All you have to do is try

I walked on the water once
Jus’ like Jesus
Not as long though
I got all wet
But for two steps
I was up there
Then I sunk

You could do it
All you have to do is try
