Thinking And Creativity
It will come as no surprise to anyone that Inspirational music comes to us as a result of thinking. Before it is expressed through the fingers or gets jotted down at the end of a pencil, it first originates in mind. I’ve learned, as a composer, that when I’m stuck and the music is not pouring forth, to take my hands off the keyboard and let mind imagine it first.

Valentine Thoughts
Here at Watchfire Music we like to say that a love song is an Inspirational song. The category of Inspirational music is just that wide an umbrella. What’s not inspirational about love? It’s probably the most inspirational concept in the minds of mankind.

Thoughts On Thinking or Thinking Makes It So
One of my favorite things to contemplate is a statement by one of my heroes, Albert Einstein, who said that something isn’t there and so we see it, but rather, we see it and so it is there. This got me to thinking. I realized that he was really saying that as we think it, it appears.

The Kiss
What an amazing thing a kiss is. I’m not talking about a peck on the cheek, or a kiss goodnight to a child or even a perfunctory kiss to a relative. I’m not talking about a kiss from a dog or a kiss in Paris on both cheeks or even a kiss blown across a room. I’m talking about one of those whoppers – you know, one of those love-sealing, romantic, Inspirational music kind of kisses that ends movies, starts babies and puts the stamp on the greatest four-letter word in the history of mankind – love.

Wouldn’t it be great if, before we pass on to wherever we go next, we could transfer our knowledge base from our brain hard drive to someone younger’s brain hard drive? That way the things we discover and the skills we acquire in this life would not be lost upon passing. Wouldn’t the human race evolve much faster if this were possible?

Brain
One day, long before the days of Inspirational music, I lay on my back and decided to see if I could find out just where it was that I lived inside my body. I folded my arms across my chest, closed my eyes and began my search.
