Things To Come – Part 1

Part 1 – As a company:

Life is good.  One of my New Years resolutions was to rebalance my life and get back more to my creativity in the recording studio as a composer/producer.  Funny how things just happen when you simply put it out there.

I was feeling like I was getting stuck in the daily excitement of Watchfire Music as an executive with the company and along came more studio projects than I can handle.  All good.  These problems I can live with.  It’s what I live for.

When it rains; it pours.

Even though I’m back in the studio more, things are moving faster than ever at WFM, so life is now a rather heady balancing act.

As a company:

WFM is probably in one of its greatest growth spurts ever.  So much is happening; I can’t keep track, but all good and all for you, our customers and friends.

  • Just finished automatic tracking system of earnings and royalty reports for all artists and composers.  Not something that each of you will necessarily benefit from, but a great time-saver for all of us in the company.  Great enabler!
  • Now winding up 6 months of work on our WFM Library for Film and TV.  This sampler DVD will be distributed to the top 100 music supervisors in Hollywood – the people who pick the music for the shows you watch.  This will place our over 100 artist’s thousands of songs before them for licensing in the most elegant of ways.
  • 2 weeks into the 6 week process of the development of WFM Radio.  Yes, we’ve been threatening this for some time now, but it’s finally becoming a reality.  This will be a 24/4 radio app that you can take with you as you surf the web, and program your own favorite genres in 2 hour listening adventures.
  • Just beginning a fantastic opportunity with Universal Music Group to cherry pick their artist’s music and create Inspirational compilation CDs combining our artist’s music with theirs.  Here comes The Eagles, Stevie Wonder, Shania Twain, Elton John, Black Eyed Peas, The Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift and oh so many more.
  • Now adding a whole new division of Choral Music to our Digital Sheet Music.  Choir directors all over the world will now have a well-organized place to explore, discover, and purchase with ease new music for their church choirs.
  • My Father’s House will be a community where young people 13-35 will be able to come and explore spirituality.  We’ll start out by focusing on the Ten Commandments primarily through two new CD projects – Laws 2 Live By and Love Rules.

All this amid the usual day-to-day development of this great adventure called Watchfire Music.

Oh and by the way, don’t forget your sweetheart this weekend.  Why don’t you surprise him/her with our February WFM Collection offering, “Songs Of Love”.

Have a Happy Valentines Day!
